A warm welcome to all dignitaries on and off the dais who have assembled here today to share our joy in the celebration of Maithry Utsav 2023. It is with pleasure that I share with you the fact that Maithry Vidyanikethan is completing 20 glorious years this year. There has been a tremendous and exponential growth in these 20 years and with pride we can say that we are one among the leading CBSE schools in Bangalore.

Success is a result of hard work, learning from mistakes, persistence ,loyalty and perfection. That is the motto at Maithry Vidyanikethan. From a small beginning in 2003, the Institution has grown to be what it is today. And this has been possible only with the unstinted encouragement and support of the Management in all spheres of the development of the school.

Academic Achievement

The hardwork and persistence of the staff of the school is evident when we see the consistently increasing percentage of the results in the Board Exams. In March 2023, 85 students took up the X std CBSE Board exams and our school secured 100% results for the 13th consecutive year. Two students Ann Sebastian and Sibiraj topped with 96.2%. We had 54 students scoring distinction ie: above 75%  and proudly we announce that 3 students Akshat Shinde, Ann Sebastian and Aslesha Maharana secured 100 in Sanskrit. We believe not only in encouraging the high performers but also in motivating average students. The testimony to this is the fact that no student scored less than 60% in the Board Exams. We were also previleged to conduct the Board Exams as Examination Centre, for nearly 250 students from different schools and completed it to the satisfaction of all without any hitches.

Remediation classes is an ongoing process that starts from June. The daily remedial classes are planned to help the average students to catch up from the level they are at. By the end of the year they are slowly integrated into the mainstream classes.

With the LEAD curriculum too the students are more attuned to apply the concepts to real life. Hands on activities for different concepts helps them visualize and understand.

Infrastructure

As always, the management of the school has always strived to provide the best and latest infrastructure for the use of the staff and students. New play equipment for the pre primary and primary students, additional materials for all labs, the new N-computing computer lab with latest configuration of systems, the digitalization of teaching by providing smart TV’s in all classrooms are worth mentioning. Cameras in all classrooms and every nook and corner of the campus provide for total security and safety of all the students.

Staff and Student Enrichment Programmes

At Maithry, equal importance is given for the training and empowerment of all staff. Regular training programmes both by CBSE and other external resource persons and also regular follow up sessions by LEAD help the staff to keep themselves up to date with all the latest advances in the teaching process. Continuous monitoring by academic experts hone the skills of the teachers for the betterment of the students. Annual trips for staff are also conducted to help them bond with one another and relax ,away from the students & classrooms.

Interaction between Parents and Staff

Regular Parent teacher meets are encouraged to help the parents check on the progress of their wards. Any concerns of the parents are dealt with immediately. In house counsellor interacts with students and parents to tackle any issues they may be facing.

Activities Conducted

The students of the school are divided into 4 houses Surya, Chandra, Pruthvi and Varuna. This encourages a healthy competition among the students during the conduct of all class activities. Each and every activity is planned to inculcate basic values. Fathers’ Day was  celebrated by the Pre Primary students to strengthen the already existing bond between the child and father.
