After a long unprecedented two-year liberation and schools have come back to life, We are proud to present before you the Annual Report for the academic year 2022-2023. The years 2020 and 2021 were full of turbulence and ups and downs. In spite of all that, We are happy to say that with the best efforts of the Management and staff we faced the challenges and continued to provide uninterrupted education to your wards. Our excellent results of the Board Exam in the last 3 years are testimony to this.

Academic Achievement

Out of the 81 students who appeared for the board exam in 2020. 14 students scored above 90%. The highest scorer was Aparna K with 97%. It was our proud moment when 5 students scored full marks 100/100 in Sanskrit that year- Manya Singh, Aanchal Gupta, Sukanya Sahoo, Jeslin Philip & Gayathri Mohan.

Though there was no Board Exam in 2021, a compilation of the marks scored in all the tests and examinations in December was considered and Riya Kustagi stood school first with 98.6 percent and 2 students- Pragya Evangeline and Riya Kustagi scored centum in Sanskrit again.

The Board Exam for academic year for the 2021-2022 saw 2 students topping the list with 97.8% each-Avantika and Deeksha P. Both science and Sanskrit saw centum with Deeksha scoring full marks in science and 3 students Rithika Gupta, Praveena and Stuti Banerjee scoring 100 in Sanskrit. The highest score in English and Social Science was 99% with 98% as highest in Mathematics.

Staff and Student Enrichment Programmes

Continuous upgradation of skills for the staff is mandated by the CBSE and one staff continuously attend both the online and offline training programmes conducted by the Board. In 2020 and 2021, in spite of the ongoing online classes each teacher attended a minimum of 10 training programmes to upscale their teaching methodology to suit the new modes of teaching.

Students too participates in various enrichment programmes. Life skills classes are a part and parcel of the curriculum. Participation in the different Olympiads conducted by outside agencies helped students to know where they stood in comparison with others of their age & class. In the LEAD Championship Awards Olympiad 7 students have been selected from across the national level with more than 50,000 participants, for the semi-final round. Yoga, meditation, shloka chanting, Abacus, Vedic mathematics, music, educational trips to places like ISRO museum(Technological), planetarium etc all have helped to provide the students with a rich exposure to varied activities. The daily Assembly programme provides opportunity for talented youngsters to show case their talent.

Activities Conducted

All activities for the academic year have been planned to promote varied learning and strengthen the value systems of the students. The Pre-Primary students had their own celebrations of all festivals in a joyful manner. The students of LKG visited the park to learn about the beauty of Nature while the UKG students had a wonderful time interacting with the police uncles at the police station as part of the learning concept “Our Neighbourhood”. The visit to the local super market was an added bonus. The tiny tots are now eagerly practising for the sports day planned in the month of January. In addition to this, daily class activities helped them to learn the concepts in a fun way.

The primary and middle school students took part in all the national and state festivals that were celebrated in a grand manner. Each programme saw the participation of nearly 600 students. The Metric Mela organised by students of 8th -10th stds was a runaway hit with the students contributing nearly ₹25,000 towards an old age home and an orphanage. The scouts & Guides of stds 5th-7th contributed toys, stationery, biscuits, sweets, fruits etc which they personally distributed at an orphanage and old age home for Diwali. Kudos to all these children who have learnt the value of sharing and caring at such a young age. The annual book fair drew large crowds of parents and it was heartening to see the young ones going away collecting their precious books.

The student Led Conference propelled by LEAD and attended by nearly 75% of the parents was a great success. This conference showcased how the students learn in the classroom. For that day, the students became teachers and parents became the students in the class. It was wonderful to see the tiny tots as teachers disciplining the adults and drawing their attention to what they were teaching!

Sports and Games

Sports has always been an integral part of the curriculum. Regular sports coaching is held after school hours for the interested ones. House wise matches in Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, volleyball, Throwball, Basketball etc were held and prizes will be given away shortly. We are proud to announce here that 2 students of our school Rithvika of Std IX and Bhanvee of Std VIII participated in the CBSE Regional level Inter school Taekwando competition in which Rithvika won Gold medal and will represent Karnataka region at National level, and Bhanavee won the bronze medal. Congratulations to the two students. The Annual sports meet for Pre-primary and primary classes will be held in various games in the month of January and in advance I invite all of you to be present and encourage your wards.
