As we reflect on the year that we are half way through, it is with immense pride that I present the Annual Report for Maithry Vidyanikethan for the academic year 2024-2025. This year has been marked by a renewed commitment to academic excellence & growth in extra curricular achievements.
Our students and staff have demonstrated remarkable resilience and enthusiasm in every aspect of school life and I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all of them for their hard work and achievements.
Academic Achievement
Examination Results
Our students who completed their Board Exams in March 2024 have as always done extremely well with 30 students out of 98, scoring between 90 – 100%. The school topper was D.Vaishnavi Reddy who scored an amazing 96.6%.A perfect 100% in Sanskrit was achieved by 6 students and in Kannada by 2 students. I am also proud that for the first time we had students scoring cent per cent in both science and social science. Hats off to these achievers.
Innovative Teaching
The Lead curriculum has helped our teachers in delivering the most innovative teaching methods in the classrooms leading to a visible excellence in the students’ achievements. The use of digital learning tools with TVs and smart boards in all classrooms has enhanced the interactive and personalized learning experience for students.
Enrichment Programmes
Our academic enrichment programmes include oratorical competition, recitation, shloka chanting quiz, yoga and various other programmes. The SLC [Student Led Conference] conducted by the students of stds I – V saw 100%. participation with more than 98% parents’ attendance. The feedback from parents reiterates the quality of our academic programs aimed at bringing students to the forefront.
The Infinity Learn year long programme has been taken up this year.It is a foundation programme for standards 8th – 10th. It is a programme that aims to give training to students for taking up competitive exams like CET,NEET and JEE and is conducted in the school itself.
The Lead Championship programme for students is also an ongoing programme to expose students to various competitions at the state and national level and nearly 400 of our students have registered for the same.In addition to this we have also nominated 10 best students from Stds 7th and 8th for the Young Leaders programme from Lead.These students will undergo various competitions at National level and will be selected for internship programmes with reputed establishments during the summer vacation.
Career Guidance for senior students has been a regular annual feature and this year too, career counselors from different Institutes were invited to guide the students of Std X on the choice of courses for higher education.
I am also happy to say that Olympiad exams were taken up by students of all classes in different subjects and we are awaiting the results for the same.
Sports and Physical Education
Physical Education continues to be a cornerstone of our school philosophy, fostering teamwork, discipline and fitness.
The inter house sports competitions held in Volleyball, Throw ball, Basketball, Kho-Kho saw the senior students vying with one another for the laurels, amidst a fierce competition.
The little ones from Preprimary to Std II had their own sports competitions which they enjoyed to the fullest.
Students have also been encouraged to participate in various inter school competitions and we are proud to let you know that Kum D A Neha of V std has won a number of medals in interschool swimming competitions in various categories.
Co-Curricular Activities
Our school takes great pride in offering a rich and varied co-curricular program that complements academic learning and encourages the development of well-rounded individuals. Music, Shlokas, Yoga, Abacus, Vedic maths, Young engineers club, Karate, Art etc, all are a part and parcel of the academic programme.
In addition to these, the students celebrated various festivals and important days with full enthusiasm. All national and regional festivals saw the students put up various programmes showcasing their talents. The Pre Primary students also took part in different activities to celebrate Diwali, Onam,Dasara and Janmashtami. Mothers’ Day gave a wonderful opportunity for the little ones to thank their mothers and dance and play with them to their heart’s content. Aksharabhyasam was conducted for the beginners stepping into the Pre-Kg and it was a heart warming sight to see them importantly attending the puja with their parents and writing their first letters accompanied by shlokas.
Students also had opportunities to go on educational trips to places like ISRO, NIMHANS Brain Museum, GKVK Agricultural Institute etc.In addition to this, all classes had a one day fun trip to different places like Dreamland, Neladasiri Resort, Suggee Resort, Bhagyalakshmi Farms and RD Nature Retreat.
Social responsibilities & Community outreach programmes
The ITC programme for recycling paper was taken up very seriously by all students with even the little ones from pre primary contributing with old newspapers for recycling. A total of nearly 4702 Kgs was collected for recycling. Students were awarded with medals and certificates for becoming Recycling Warriors.Metric Mela, Maithry’s annual food fest, saw the students of 7th – 10th bringing in a profit of nearly Rs. 40,000/-. As a part of Environment Day Celebrations tree planting ceremony was held by students of the middle school.
Training was given to all staff & students on Fire safety procedures. Similarly a training on CPR (Artificial Respiration) was given to all staff to handle any emergency.
Faculty Development
Our teachers remain at the heart of the school’s success. This year too, the Management invested in different professional development programmes for the faculty to ensure that they remain equipped with the latest pedagogical strategies and subject knowledge. Teachers attended various workshops conducted by both CBSE and other trainers, focusing on innovative teaching methodologies, student engagement and technology integration.
Parent Orientation & Interaction
Regular Parent teacher meets encourage a healthy interaction between the parents and teachers. It helps the teachers give regular updates to the parents about their wards and any concerns are dealt with immediately on both sides.
Parent Orientations are held at the beginning of the year and also as and when necessary to keep the parents apprised about new developments in the Board Practices.

As we move into the end of this academic year, and step into the next, we remain committed to continuous improvement in all areas – academics, sports and student life.
